Bad Connection with JBL Headphones

I am trying to run with brand-new headphones by JBL and my new Garmin 965, but the sound is bad since it keep breaking off. It seems the connection on both headphones is lost at almost the same time.
The problem seems to get worse the more the watch is processing (running mode, using the menu). The headphones work fine with my iPhone.

  • I have a similar problem with my JVC Nearphones (Bluetooth 5.1, true wireless earphones). The sound stutters for a few seconds every few minutes and I can’t figure out why. I even placed my wrist/watch next to my head to see if it is an issue with the signal strength (I was on a long run) but it didn’t seem to help. My guess is it is either an issue with the Bluetooth optimisation (trouble maintaining the multiple connections/the watch is searching for the phone?) or some sort of external signal interference from the surroundings.

My Philips bone conducting earphone (Bluetooth 5, not true wireless) never had this issue, so I’ve resigned to use it instead. I should also mention that even on other devices, the JVCs’ connection is somewhat less stable compared to my other Bluetooth earphones.

  • I also have this issue on my Jabra elite 75t! Every some songs (sometimes after one song, sometimes after a few songs, sometimes in the middle of the song, sometimes at the end) the connection is lost and have to tell the watch to look for them again. I think this is a bug, as I never had this with my FR 945

  • It seems to me that it gets worse in crowds...however I am just guessing here. Is there anyone from Garmin who can support?
