Garmin Cycle Maps on Forerunner 965 not available for cycling activities

I downloaded/bought the Garmin Cycle Maps for £25.99 as it says they are compatible with the Forerunner 965 but the map isn't available for selection to use on a cycling activity whereas the others such as TopoActive are. Is this a mistake that the maps are compatible with wearables?

Anyone had any luck or tried this?

I haven't tried these maps but installed Open Fiets Map (open bicycle map). But when I change my e-bike activity my watch freezes.

I succeeded to choose this map on a cycling activity.

Openfietsmap is my fave for running generally! Never had an issue with it though
