Wildly inaccurate heart rates after ending workouts with HR monitor

It looks like there is a bug or defect with the 965's sensor/algorithm. I've observed obviously unrealistic and inaccurate HR drops at the end of workouts. It might have something to do with the watch changing over from an external HR monitor to wrist HR at the end of the workouts.

This exactly what's happening here. Watch HR sensor starts measuring…

  • As well don't thing external sensor causing issuue. Same hete with me but when I kick "lap" button.  HR drops at 70-80 bpm and cannot recover to expected level. Watch has been replaced, but the issue remained.

Intetesting is that I have a tatoo on my left hand and the right one does not have this issues.

On the other hand I have used for years Gatmin watches (last one Phoenix 5S, which never had that isue).

I do agree that the watch has some deficit in HR monitor sensr. It is strange still no reactions from Garmin on that.

  • I have the same issue with my 265. HR drops 30-50 beats after ~30 mins workout. Do you have a ref. to your case at Garmin? Might be worth referring to your similar issues when doing my claim.

    Any updates on solving this?

    Thanks
