The classic bug half cadence/incorrect arose on fr965 again.

There are many half cadence related threads in garmin forums. One example forums.garmin.com/.../incorrect-cadence

So I will say it is a classic bug. Reset has been tried. But nothing helps.

My device info

FR965 ASIA

Firmware 3.58

CIQ: 4.2.0

Due to half cadence. The stride becomes larger than usual.

Thanks for your detailed analysis. I have the same issue with my Foreruner 265. I see this both on the treadmill and outdoor runs. For comparison, the 955 I had before this was almost perfect in cadence estimation.

I am using fr955 at the same time now. Everything works fine on this model.

I have a ROW version 265. No stryd pod or chest strap. Firmware 4.15.

That Auto Activity detect...I am wondering if user had a VivoActive before as I think some of those had Auto Activity detect as an option.

Already filed a bug (under the 265).

The watch is pretty much as it came out of the box - default watch face, default display settings (AOD enabled during activity), etc. I see the issue both on an outdoor run (with GPS), and on the treadmill.
