Crash when starting activity

This week I received my FR 965 but am having severe issues with it.

On my watch, starting an activity mostly causes my watch to crash. In case it doesn't crash, pressing start/stop or the lap button makes sure it does.

I've reset the watch, synced iwith Garmin Express, tried all sorts of activities (with/without GPS).

Anyone experiencing the same issues? Any tips?

Try to turn off all notifications vibrations and sounds. I had a problem with sound notification.. when beeps pressing start button - it's turn off.. Garmin replace my Fr965.

No such issue my side at all, watch has been stable over the past approx month I've had it.

Have you possibly tried the latest Beta software?

No such issue my side at all, watch has been stable over the past approx month I've had it.

No, I only did the default updates with Garmin Express.

and care to tell us which version it is running now, have a look in the system/about menu and report back

did you order from Garmin or online shop

did you get a new or used FR965

ordered white or black

additional settings you did after reset

CIQ added and which

try to pinpoint the culprit, start with a clean watch after rest and add step by step your setup preferences

software version: 3.58
ordered from online shop
new FR965
black version
no additional settings
no CIQ added
I did a reset of the watch and without any changes it crashes after starting an activity

do not like to report all that, go with the beta program instead ( Beta Wiki ) and report when beta crashes ...

I contacted Garmin Support, but don't expect any answers until next working days.

I have had crashes during an activity with 4.12 - have reported that already in the beta forum, but no crashes starting activities.

thanks for your support. I've done all that, but still no improvement. I guess the only option will be to return it to the onlineshop...
