From what phone and app? I don't see this with iPhone and iMessage?

Same for iPhone and whatsapp/signal. Quite annoying that you have to wait. 
It seems like the app designers/developers don’t use their own products, otherwise they would experience it themselves. 

Under settings/notifications/smart notifications/ there's a setting that translated from Swedish would be something like "Signature", have you tried to toggle that one? I have no clue what it does...?

Yes, agree, its a pain waiting for the actual message on the 965.

I did have a fenix 7X but sold it, and now also have a Descent G1 Solar, on these watches the message appears straight up, no waiting while it shows the sender.
I think the Fitness Category and Outdoor Category have different programming teams that don't talk enough to each other.

We are agreed.  The way this watch handles notifications is unnecessarily clunky.  Why is it different than the Fenix/Epix line??!?

+1, having come from Fenix and Epix this has infuriated me. First thing I checked was for a setting but to no avail. It’s just a weirdly long amount of time to wait staring at my wife’s name before the big reveal of what she is saying three seconds later
