First Scratch - You don't see it, until you see it.

I moved from a long run of Fenix (from 3 up) and then to Epix. My first forerunner and a scratch on the glass within two weeks. Gutted, it's small but once you see it, you see it. I am not sure if the metal surround of the Fenix offered more protection or if the Forerunner glass isn't as good?

There doesn't seem to be a workable 965 screen protector. I am hoping I will begin to not see it in a few days. I had the Epix2 for a year, strangely the base model with the same glass and not a scratch…

Forerunner 965 - Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Hard to scratch, but not scratch proof.
Fenix/epix Gen 2 - Sapphire Crystal on some models. More difficult to scratch than Gorilla Glass, but still not 100% scratch proof.

Good video here. Apparently not afraid to scratch some expensive watches for testing purposes.

Bummer. That's really the one drawback to the 9-series watches – no sapphire option. I had a Fenix 6 titanium for a couple of years and the screen was pristine when I sold it. I'm personally not a fan of screen protectors but have used them off- and on.

I am glad it's a two pack... I will likely mess the first one up. I am hoping it reduces the glare of the stratch... it's not the bad but I suspect the protector will hide it :)

Have another 9 days to survive without scratching my new watch. I've always used screen protectors on my Forerunners. Hopefully the above will do the job.

I ordered brotect protector from eBay. Twopack. Very cheap. Got some air bubbles under it (did not clean the Classic because i thought it would not suit properly but it does). It covereita the white screen. Excellent. Made a second order.

Anyone managed to find a screen protector that works? Foolishly ordered a Supershieldz from the US to Oz on Amazon (because nothing here in Oz yet). The ad said just for the 965. But the packaging (when it arrived) revealed they simply sent a 955 protector and tacked 965 on to the list of (apparently) comparable watches. Ignorant that the 965 has a curved screen, so not compatible. Only sticks in the middle. :(
