vibration on incoming calls

Hi 965 users; I hope you can give me an answer to this. I'm on 955, and since a couple of releases ago, we have had an annoying bug that is no vibration on incoming calls if your privacy is set to ON. The watch vibrates for all notifications except phone calls, which makes the notification barely useless. I'm just wondering if you guys could check into this in your 965 since I'm thinking of moving to this new watch, but I'm not sure I'd do that if the 965 has the same problem.

  • Forgive me for being stoopid...by referring to the 'Privacy On' setting...is this a phone setting or a watch setting? Once I know how and where to find it I'll happily test it for you?

  • I tried this on the FR 265 with the following settings:

Smart Notifications > Calls  -  Vibration , Privacy - Off  - Then there is a notification on the screen showing the name (if in contacts) or just a number and a vibration and you have an accept / decline option on the screen.

Smart Notifications > Calls  -  Vibration , Privacy - On (Gesture)  - Then there is a notification on the screen showing the name (if in contacts) or just a number and NO vibration and you cannot answer either. (No decline / accept option)

Smart Notifications > Calls  -  Vibration , Privacy - On (Start Button)  - Then there is a notification on the screen showing the name (if in contacts) or just a number andNO vibration and you cannot answer either. (No decline / accept option)

So I think the issue of no vibration with Privacy on is still the same as the 955 issue.

Confirm this is what you meant.

  •

I tested this out and received vibrations for a phone call with Privacy On > Gesture. However, when I changed it to On > Start, it did not vibrate.

Can you test yours out again and let me know if the watch still doesn't vibrate when it's set to Privacy On > Gesture?

Either way, I'll need to make a report for this. May I have permission to reach out to you via email to gather a couple of more details?

  • Thanks for answering. That's exactly what's happening in my 955. So definitely the bug Is there... damnit! Privacy is the key, but of course it was totally ok before they updated the fw few builds ago.

  • The watch vibrates on gesture on if you make the gesture with your wrist...and same for the privacy on button start...it doesn't vibrate unless you push the button start...bit clearly doesn't make any sense to push the button start since you already know you've an incoming call.

  • Can U set 965 notifications to not turn screen on ? Only when U do gesture ? (I mean without AOD)
