How can I disable the beep sound when logging a set in the Strength activity on the Garmin Forerunner 955?

I have a Forerunner 955 and every time I press the button to mark a set during the Strength activity, the watch plays a beep. I want to turn this sound off. I found Settings → System, but I can’t figure out which setting disables the beep specifically for the Strength activity.

Which option do I need to change to stop the watch from making this sound?

I don't believe you can do this per activity. I have my alerts Tones off and Alert Vibration on , that just makes it vibrate when you mark a set , but it affects all alerts.. (Under System> Sounds and Vibe)

I’ll go with that solution then — turning off the alert tones globally.

It would definitely be a nice feature if Garmin allowed per-activity sound settings (e.g., having tones on or off specifically for Strength). Hopefully they add it in the future.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is how the new "focus modes" feature works on the latest-gen Garmin watches (Fenix 8, FR570, and FR970):

A bunch of settings that used to be global settings are now available as part of "focus modes", and it seems to be possible to create a custom focus mode and assign it to a specific activity. (There is also a default focus mode for all activities.)

Ofc, Garmin has also taken away certain settings in the new watches:

- they got rid of auto-lock

- while following a course, the "distance remaining" field at the bottom of the map page can't be removed anymore
