[26.05] Alarm keeps vibrating after snoozing/stopping it

There already is a two year old thread about this in version 17.X, but the thread is closed. It is occurring more frequently lately, 6 months ago once per 2-4 weeks, now once a week at least. Could be that my timing of pressing buttons has changes, but I'd like to exclude a slowly progressing hardware issue. So my question is: Is it a known software problem? Anyone else notices it?

A few times it buzzed for so long that I had to switch the watch off to make it stop.

Edit: There are a number of other reports about this, but the threads are older and closed. Probably it is a glitch that has no chance of getting fixed.

I find it very unsettling to wake up, press Stop and have the FR955 incessantly buzzing, so I don't use it as a wake-up alarm anymore.

I don't consider it a beta FW problem, it also occurs with stable release FW's.

  • I have experienced continuous buzzing when trying to plug in the charger.   It seems an intermittent connection cause the watch to vibrate continuously until for example accessing the settings menu.

  • It seems something can go wrong with event handling sometimes. I suppose that the realtime OS that runs on these devices has not fundamentally changed over the years. This glitch (buzzer not stopping) has surfaced in older devices as well, the original Epix had this same issue and my Fenix or Fenix 2 also. Not likely to be worth the cost of reproducing, investigating and fixing.

I missed having the FR955 on my wrist as an alarm clock, and I am starting to learn to quickly press and hold the Light button to switch it off. I start my days MUCH more altert. No morning coffee needed!

  • Solution: Make it a routine to press and hold Light to turn the watch off if this happens.
