Touchscreen Not Working in the Morning after Sleep – 955 Solar

I bought a 955 Solar (upgraded to the latest FW 25.04) watch two weeks ago and have run into a problem twice already. The touchscreen doesn’t work after waking up in the morning. The first time happened a few days after purchase, and the second time was this morning.

What happens: I have night mode set from 12:00 AM to 9:30 AM with the touchscreen disabled. So after midnight, the touchscreen turns off. In the morning, once the watch detects that I’m awake, the touchscreen should turn back on. But today I woke up, saw the Morning Report screen, tried swiping—and nothing happened. The buttons worked fine though. My steps:

  1. I went into the menu. I only saw one line: Touch – General Use – Off.

  2. I switched it to On. The touchscreen started working, and a new option appeared: During Sleep – On.

  3. I switched During Sleep to Off. The touchscreen stopped working again, and after leaving and re-entering the menu, I only saw one line again: Touch – General Use – Off.

So turning During Sleep to Off simultaneously turns off General Use. This is an obvious bug.

As a result, until I restart the watch, these two settings remain “linked” together. After a restart, I see both lines again: General Use – On, During Sleep – Off, and the watch works normally.

Has anyone else run into this?
