When listening to audiobooks, when rewinding, the time slider returns to zero. With subsequent rewinding, rewinding ends in an unknown place. It is not possible to rewind to the required point in time.

Thanks for noticing and reporting this.
I have been reporting bugs relating to fast forward and rewind for a while.
Initially I reported that the ff/rw speed is too much. While you would expect it to skip 5 or 10 seconds at time [like pretty much every other audio player], it seems to jump in increments of about 1 minute and 50 seconds. This is practically useless when listening to music, since it's very easy to skip right past the entire song.
I switched over to the beta version of the software in the hopes that this bug would be fixed. Instead, I found that they introduced a new bug (the return to zero bug you're reporting) in the first 24.xx beta.
I reported this bug right away, and for every subsequent beta release after that.
Garmin completely ignored my reports, and allowed this bug to ship out in 24.12, which is supposed to be a STABLE release.
I'm kind of annoyed with Garmin right now, for two reasons.
I use the music player on my watch throughout the summer. In winter I'm running indoors on the treadmill, so I don't need it.
Despite reporting bugs starting in April, I'm now approaching the end of the summer using the crippled music player the whole time.
I have tried the Coros watches, and incredibly, their music player is even worse than Garmin's.
But if they ever figure it out, I'm jumping ship.
I’m experiencing the exact same issue with MP3 files. When I try to rewind, the time slider jumps back to zero. If I rewind again, playback resumes from some random position. It’s impossible to jump to the exact time I need.
