Is it worth switching from FW 22.24 to 24.12?

I am very puzzled why it is so quiet after release of the new firmware. Either there are no issues which would be phenomenal or everyone is afraid to update.

I have a 955 and it has completely ruined all my data. I have factory reset the device but no resolution. Any advice ok how to install the correct software to resolve my issues would be appreciated. I.do not have auto install off so have the latest update. All was well until the latest 

My 955 now useless for all data. It was the latest updaate. Any advice on how to resolve?? I now have no HRM, steps, sleep, pool lengths.....

Do you have any 0.0 software versions in the System/About screens?

If you were on 22.xx, there are no added problems to go to 24.12. Some things have been fixed and no major flaws have been introduced.

One tip: if you are going to update, I'd suggest putting your watch in the refrigerator for an hour before you do. Anecdotally, this seems to help the reliability of the update process, especially in warm weather conditions.

Now I tried to update. 

Updating over WiFi fails, because there is an error while downloading.

Updating over Bluetooth prompts there is no new update. 

Update using Garmin Express.  It's possible that maps downloading are causing problems.
