GPS Problem

I am also experiencing the same issues with my Forerunner 955 on version update 23.20

To confirm, after you unplug the watch from the charger you can't collect GPS outside? When does it collect or how long does it take to go green? Are you saying that after 2-3 runs of no GPS, the next run collects GPS right away and it shows a map on that activity? 

I'm having what sounds like the same problem. 

The GPS module simply doesn't seem to start. On test workouts it records no GPS data at all. 

I'm not able to force a GPS module start by starting workouts, though.

It's a replacement watch, 4 weeks old yesterday, exact same software versions.

Yes, after disconnecting the watch from the charger it does not find the GPS signal. The GPS signal is found only after performing e.g. running activity outside despite the lack of signal. after performing activity without GPS signal with subsequent GPS it is found very quickly of course depending on the environment in which I am (cloudy sky etc.)

The standard trobleshoot does not work. It is not already clear that the update 23.20 is the issue? Here, the same problem, all red, no GPS signal anytime since the software update. Forerunner 255 software version 23.20.

Same here. I have a forerunner 255 and two other friends also have. No GPS signal after update 23.20

No, it is not.
Obviously, the majority of watches with 23.20 is working fine. Mine too, I am using GPS nearly everyday and it is as good, as it always was.

Your description sounds, as if DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS maybe something broke on YOUR device. Have you checked the "info" section in settings? Are all subsystems ok, or maybe some 0.0.0 for sensor hub or other?

This is the FR 955 forum btw. I know, quite similar, but not exactly the same...
