Change track log color?

Where in the map settings do you have the option to change the track log color on a map?  The online manual lists settings under Maps that don't exist on the device or the app, unless I'm not finding them?

Weird.  It was really easy to change on my Edge 540, and I'd like to have the same color line on both devices.  Also, the new map update made all kinds of trails and tracks the same color as your travel history, so that's kind of dumb.

  • Activity settings>Map Layers>Activity Line

  • That setting toggles on or off but I still don't see any color options, for an individual activity or as a system setting

  • Did you even try select it, if you do, you can scroll down to it.

  • Ah, on the watch, not in the app!  Thank you!  I'd still like a system-level setting, but this is helpful!

  • I thought the same but thinking about it now, it should therefore allow different colours/options for each activity (if it works!). I’ve also never checked this in the app watch settings route.

  • When I saved the color change it asked it I wanted to change it for all activities too, so there's the system setting, hidden in an individual activity setting.  Hooray for Garmin software/UI logic!

  • Follow up:

I changed the color from the default red to light blue, then checked it in an activity and it was still red.  Weird.

Then I checked to see if change for all activities meant what I thought and a different profile was also red.  It's not a dealbreaker issue, it's just that some trails in the new map update are also red, so it's annoying.  I'll keep flddling with settings in various places.  It was really easy to change on my Edge 540. Shrug.
