Heat acclimatization not working

Hi there,

currently on holiday where the weather is 24-26 on average and having done three runs, no heat acclimatisation is showing up on my watch or phone. All of my runs have been over 22 degrees and the weather on my Garmin appears up to date. 

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    This has never worked properly for Garmin. For a while I even carried my phone with me on runs because of it.

    I've given up on it working reliably.

    Yeah it’s weird. I carry my phone as well, just a shame as this is the only time I get much heat acclimitisation (I guess I am getting it but be cool to see the stat). 

    out of curiosity, do you know why the “temperature” glance is much higher than the weather one? I.e it never seems to go below 31 degrees haha

    It is clear that skin temperature affects this. But that is not essential. Garmin takes the temperature value for Heat Acclimatization from the nearest weather station according to the GPS of the phone, at the time of the START of the activity. Not during it!

    P.S.: You need to sync your watch with GC before every single measured run but it still didn't always work for me!

    Even if you use a Tempe sensor, Garmin takes the temperature from the nearest weather station, which sometimes may be hundreds of miles away. It may even use the forecast rather than the measured temperature.
