Navigation impossible

But is possible that from many months until now become impossible use navigation on 955? When I try to navigate to a point like city, shop or something else, the watch need too much time to calculate it (5-15 minutes) and sometime I have a message like "an error occour to calculate track" and go back. It happend with two different 955 (one solar and another no) and totally update, with every type of options about track, quality map, place that I choose and other. Why Garmin don't find solution? Some time ago was good, so is it possible calculate track with this watch. Problem is maybe the map: there are another alternative?

    I think I had the same problem.   I suspect it has not been raised as an issue because there are alternative ways of navigating such as creating a route on the phone. If no-one reports it to product support it won't get fixed.

    Meanwhile the latest firmwares contain "fixes" such as "Fix a pin lock highlight issue.".

    Did you report this to Garmin product support?

    I’m also encountering this issue. I haven’t fully figured out what causes it, but I think it may be related to how far away the point you are navigating to is, and whether or not you used the search function to find it. Either way, you are correct that something is broken. 

    For me, navigating to a “Saved Location” almost always works. So a workaround is to search for a POI and then select “Save Location” rather than “Go.” Then go back in the menu and choose the POI from “Saved Locations.”

    Yes,it's true: if I save a location after I can return back. But if I want a new location become impossible. And with this sportwatch is not possible have this problem!

    Every time that I asked to Garmin I must read idiot answers like "do a master reset", without a true solution, very bad assistance....

    Not sure it'll get much traction since I think the issue has been around for a while, but here's to hoping.

    I tried to use an open map and not official Garmin map and I solve It immediately: now I can navigate in every mode (with a saved point, to a shop, city and somethink alse). When I do and error watch can recalculate in some seconds. So the problem is sure the european Garmin map. I think that I can delete It and reinstall from Garmin Connect, Is It true? Maybe I can resolve It. Because I find more open maps, but for many zones and not all Europe toghewer, like a map of Benelux, map of german zone (Germany+Austria+Swizerland). If I must run in Como (Italy) to Swizerland I can not have Maps. I just wrote to Discussion in Beta Program and I want see if I have an answer from Garmin...

    I can confirm, the watch can't calculate a route with Garmin European maps, it just grinds indefinitely without a result.

    I can confirm that with the European TopoActive map (2024.20) it cannot always find a route. I replied to the thread on the Beta forum.

    I still have the problem with both Garmin's maps and downloaded OSM maps, so I don't think the problem is just with the TopoActive maps. And I'm in North America.

    Same here. I always have "Route calculation error" when I try to navigate to saved position or if watch try to recalculate any route.

    Tested in Germany, Sweden and Czech Republic. Always same result: "Route calculation error".
