battery loss 12% to 15% per day

Forerunner 955 is losing 12 to 15% per day WiFi off, no GPS activities activated. Seems to have started after it froze and required a major reset about a month ago. Prior to that it was good for 10 days to two weeks. Just updated to 22.24 from the most recent previous version.

Check that the options that you may have turned off (like Garmin Share) before the crash haven't been re-enabled.

I'm sure that you're tried this, but sometimes turning off / turning on is enough to help here. Presuming that there is some process looping or running abnormally and the power cycle resets that process...

No Garmin Share. I've drilled through the assorted settings looking for something that my run in the background.

Restarted several times. I may have to bite the bullet and reset to defaults
