I see all the current frustrations with the obvious issues plaguing the fr955 heart rate monitor. But I thought I'd share another weird anomaly I've encountered using my fr955 solar. On a few occassions, I have been doing an activity with the hrm working properly. But, suddenly without clear cause, my displayed heart rate will suddenly drop to a level that would only make sense if I were resting while awake.
The chart below is from my walk today, on software 22.24. It went from a steady 120bpm-140bpm to hanging around 55bpm-75bpm.
The next chart is from 2 weeks ago, on software 22.22, and again there is a random spike from a relatively consistent bpm to a harsh dip and then a substantial spike back up when the hrm seemed to restart or something while I was walking up a hill.
As a core hardware feature in the watches, this should be ironed out as smoothly as possible. I don't think I should have to wear my chest strap hrm on casual walks just to get accurate heart rate data.
