Faulty Heart Rate Measurement on My 955

Hello,

The heart rate measurement on my 955, which I bought less than a month ago, is completely faulty. It shows a heart rate of 120 when I’m actually at 160 for 35 minutes straight. Then suddenly, after ~35 minutes, it decides to adjust the HR to ~160. This makes no sense.

My old Fitbit Versa 3 tracked my heart rate perfectly. And it only cost €200 three years ago. Should i ask for a refund ?

Oh hey, I wanted to make this thread as well!

I mean... Look at this. It was 15+ degrees C outside so "cold weather" is just not a valid excuse.

Indeed, I experience the same issues.

Garmin refuses to solve this issue.

I'm seeing the same thing happen when I have my Polar H10 external HR monitor connected. The registered HR will be low for the first few minutes, after which it shoots up as in your picture. Today I disabled the Source Switching option on the watch and the HR recording looked better

I don't have any external HR monitor. This is only with the forerunner 955 HR monitor

Indeed, I experience the same issues.

Had a trail run race last weekend and had no chest strap with me, oh-my-god... the HR chart was totally faulty. I'm not sure there's a single second with the real HR value on that chart.

HR only starts registereing after 10-15 minutes. WHY? It obviously works, why just not in the first 15 minutes? Perhaps you need a Connect+ subscription for that? (:

Garmin-Sierra PLEASE, let me give you guys some .fit files, log files, whatever it takes to look into this issue! The watch worked FINE for the first 2 years.

And again today... 22 degree weather, so cold is not the issue. Just got home from work by bike as well, so already warmed up with a steady HR going. Still, the first 7-15 minutes my hr is 125 and then suddenly shoots up to 160 or whatever it should be.

Where can we submit logs to have this looked into? Or are we getting a voucher for a free chest HR strap? Because my watch sure as *** did not have this problem the first few years I had it.
