Recovery heart rate

I cannot see the recovery heart rate in the Connect app or web for my runs. Does Garmin save this data?

    I see the data at least in Connect Web (haven't checked the app), if I choose to measure the recovery heart rate at the end of the activity by choosing "Recovery heart rate" after stopping the activity but before saving it.

    Garmin does save this data to the activity file.

    When I select "recovery heart rate" from the menu when the activity is stopped, and allow the measurement to complete, I always see recovery heart rate in the Connect app and website.

    Additionally, Garmin will automatically calculate recovery heart rate behind the scenes even if you don't select "recovery heart rate" from the menu. You can tell because if you select "recovery heart rate" immediately, it shows a 2 minute countdown, but if you wait a little while (like 30 seconds), it shows a shorter countdown (e.g. 1:30) as if it had already started the measurement process. And if you wait the full 2 minutes while the activity is stopped, then save the activity, recovery heart rate will be automatically saved even if you didn't select the "recovery heart rate" menu item.

    If for some reason you're still not seeing recovery HR in Connect, you could always try https://www.runalyze.com. It's a free website that syncs with your Garmin Connect account, and shows more data than Connect. For example, there's some older devices which record recovery HR but for which the value isn't shown in Connect. runalyze will show recovery HR if it was recorded, regardless of whether it would be shown in Connect or not.
