Do you mean that it doesn't show the lap number on the "lap alert" screen (which is shown when an auto lap or manual lap is triggered)? I'm not seeing this problem. My lap alert screen shows:
- Lap number (this cannot be changed)
- the primary lap alert field (this is a setting and defaults to lap time, I think)
- the secondary lap alert field (this is a setting and defaults to total time, I think)
Note that the normal lap alert screen will only be shown if a workout is not active.
If a workout (e.g. programmed workout or daily suggested workout) is active:
- if an auto lap occurs during a workout step (which is only possible if the workout step is longer than the auto lap distance), you'll see a workout-specific lap screen (which doesn't follow the activity lap alert settings, has fixed content, and doesn't include the lap number iirc)
- if you take a manual lap (only possible during the final step), you will still get the the workout-specific lap screen
Today, the same activity , run, and the problem still occurs...It shows only medium pace and lap pace and not Lap Number...I forget to take a picture :(
LE - indeed I have an active workout, and on every km it shows lap number, etc but before this update it shows the lap number after finishing the suggested workout and continue running..Or, at least I think it shows the lap number...
before this update it shows the lap number after finishing the suggested workout and continue running
What’s the final step of the workout? Is it “run until lap press”?
Garmin made a change at some point so that the final step of a workout *cannot* be ended with lap press, only by running out the duration (for a step that’s configured with a time or distance). Now if you press the lap button on the final step of a workout, it just takes a manual lap (which isn’t possible on any of the other steps), and shows a workout-specific lap alert (which doesn’t show the lap number), rather than the normal lap alert (which does show the lap number)
