Strength workout - Rest Screen functionality

Hi everyone!
I just purchased a Fenix 7 to help me with my workout schedules at the gym.

I found that every time there is a "rest step" the screen is automatically changed to show a useless list of exercises, without any information about the rest timer or anything else.

In this thread: Default screen with strength workout I discovered that on the 955 and 965 series this shouldn't happen!

Can you please confirm the behavior of the 955 in strength exercises? I don't want to make another purchase and have the same problem! Thank you!

  • Hi,

I can confirm that my 955 correctly displays my Workouts, there is no list of useless exercises.
If I scrolling the screen I have a list of exercises from my selected Workout during this Workout:

After finish one round and press lap to go to the rest interval the screen show me the coming exercise:

But obviously I can also have the timer in full screen during the Rest, go to the list of upcoming exercises (scrolling the screen) and many other things depending on how you have the Data Screens preconfigured in that Activity Mode.

    Hope that helps!

  • Thank you for the comprehensive answer, this is great news for me!! Smiley

  • I take this opportunity to ask you another question: is it possible to view the notes relating to the current workout step during the workout? If so, are they cut off or displayed entirely? Thank you very much!!

  • Yes, exactly, you can see them.
I'm not one to use very long notes, I don't know how much you want to write there either, I use more like one or two words for grip type, some clarification, type of machine, etc.
You also have the possibility to do it with voice notes, but I don't use headphones at the gym so I didn't try it.

Here I added an example text to an exercise. You can see that during the previous Rest where it announces the next exercise you can already see the icon that there is a Note. If you scrolling the screen you can see it in full:

Then during the execution of the exercise the same thing happens, you can see the note by sliding:

    Hope this helps.
