Garmin Running Coach

I'm following the Garmin Coach Running plan that suggests a workout for you every day.

I have the zones set up as indicated in each workout. I've realized that it's useless to follow the heart rate zone that it recommends, since it ends up marking more of a training effect than the one prescribed.

I see that it's easier to set a maximum alert and not exceed the heart rate recommended every day.

How to calculate the TE? By zones, by maximum heart rate, by pace...

I can't answer that - but when workouts are based on heart ratem the actual TE after the workout in my case is almost always higher than the prospected TE. But when workouts have goals are based on pace, it matches a lot better. Personally I just take a look at the type of workout and intended TE and classify it as "hard", "medium" or "easy" and perform on feeling. but I'm pretty experienced. Maybe you can ask a real life coach?
