Battery drain is still a thing. My battery drain has been terrible for the last couple of firmware.
This seems to be something that Garmin do not want to address at this point.
All the usual things are off, garmin share etc.
I have kept a log of the battery and have lost over 40% battery in 72 hours with no activities logged.

As i mentioned, it is already off. Cheers.
I am in the same boat as you. Consider yourself fortunate. My 955 is consuming battery at a rate of 2% per hour. 100% in 2 days. Watch was OK with one of the older firmware but I ignorantly updated the firmware during the Blue Triangle of Death episode.
Oh wow that's very poor.
Yeah I regret a previous firmware update as everything was fine before then, but I cannot remember which firmware was the 'good one'.
There have been some really poor ones. In August 2022 there was one which caused stripy bars across the display and also broke the cadence sensing. That wasn't fixed until about November that year.
All I can suggest is that you force the watch to make a full backup, then factory reset it. When you reconnect it with your account it will suggest restoring that backup.
I'm on the current beta and have normal battery drain.I last charged the watch to 96% on Tuesday last week, have done a few activities, and it's still got 39% charge (today is Monday).
I have done multiple full resets. Local service center had also forced a re-installation of the current firmware. I am also trying the latest Beta. All with no improvements. I will probably pay for a replacement and this will be my last Garmin when the replacement fails. We paid the price for a cheap computer / expensive phone for this watch but it is frustrating to have Garmin mess up what worked with firmware updates and updates and updates that we don't need.
Even if you remember, there is nothing you can do to bring the watch back to that firmware version. I set my watch to not perform automatic software update but that triangle of death caused me to panic and performed a update and the watch is now significantly impaired. Disappointing and frustrating.
