After the “fix” for the boot loop, am I safe to record a GPS activity?

Hi all,

After all of the issues recently with the boot loop, I finally have my watch out of the cycle and connected back to my phone, however now I’m worried that if I record a GPS activity the cycle will start up again. Has this been PROPERLY fixed, or do I risk getting stuck in the boot loop again? The Garmin customer service rep that was emailing me has not replied and I’m not sure how long I can go without recording a GPS activity!

I recorded several GPS activities since my watch recovered from the reboot circus. Garmin removed the broken satellite-cache file and they'll make sure same thing won't happen again. If you still don…

I recorded several GPS activities since my watch recovered from the reboot circus. Garmin removed the broken satellite-cache file and they'll make sure same thing won't happen again. If you still don't trust it, just record a test activity of a minute or so before you start a real activity.
