On older watches and older versions of the software this function existed.
Would like to be able to schedule alarms from the Garmin connect app.

Because the alarm on my phone wakes up my husband
Here's a post made shortly after release of the 955 complaining that the function isn't available.

The issue for Garmin is that every function in every piece of software and hardware costs money to maintain as it needs to be regression tested after every change to the code base. It is not surprising…
Yes. Everyone wants this. How is this even a watch? Returning this sack of ***
"On older watches and older versions of the software this function existed."
There doesn't seem to be anything in the manual about it. Which older versions do you mean?
I don't find it very frustrating either.. forerunner 950 fw 24.12 give it back back add shedule alarm plese (older alarms bottom bottom + push) I see older alerts but can't add new ones
It appears it has been deliberately removed by Garmin.
Yep, another day, another Garmin Joke. It doesnt surprise me that they removed this feature. Thats not uncommon. I used to be able to 'resume later' a GPS activity and NOT see my battery deplete all day. Turns out they changed it so that the GPS keeps searching for satellites after selecting 'resume later'. So if I commute in the morning and try to keep my commute back home on the same activity, my battery goes down 40% while just sitting on my wrist in watch mode.
Somebody once told me, thats a feature and not a bug. A feature so that it can quickly resume your activity without having to re-look for satellites.
A quick search on dcrainmakers site reveals that the 'resume later' selection was always meant to turn off the GPS. That was its original purpose. I suspect they either removed the feature on purpose to help lower the battery life or just removed it accidentally while updating the code.
Probably the same thing with the alarm setting functionality. Either they removed it to help motivate us to upgrade to a newer watch or they accidentally removed it while 'improving' the code.
Now that my bloods boiling time for a run!
Why would you need to set an alarm on your watch using your phone when you can set an alarm on your phone using your phone?

Seems like this was never a function in Garmin Connect for the 955. The last watch that had it was the 945.
Consumer behavior is fascinating to me. When I was growing up, my coach would tell us to give 110% on the court which is just another way of saying to give it your all.
Corporations like Garmin can give maybe 70% and still be the market leader and rake in tons of profit.
In 2025, having the ability to set your smartwatch alarm with your phone should be a baseline feature.
The issue for Garmin is that every function in every piece of software and hardware costs money to maintain as it needs to be regression tested after every change to the code base. It is not surprising then that some functions occasionally get deleted, possibly because they get little use.
Seems like Garmin have prioritised other functions in Garmin Connect such as backup and restore as setting alarms is very easy to do on the watch itself: Hold UP->Clocks->Alarms->etc
