v21.20 Map Contrast not fully applied anymore

I found after update 21.2 there are several bad map issues:

  • Contrast setting on: only applies now to main roads and therefore if you are on a secondary road it's worse since the secondary road stays light gray, but background becomes lighter
  • I see now lots of green shaded areas even though that area is not green. This makes it even harder to see with a light gray road on a green background. If I turn on contrast again it's worse contrast since background is now light green with a light gray road. I tried all layer settings but none make any difference in display
  • As reported by others: there's permanently a ring now around the map making it even harder on an already small screen to see a lot of detail. There should be a setting to turn this off
  • As reported by others: the zoom buttons on the map are not transparent and have solid rectangles behind them

I wonder is there an easy way to go back 1 version? Anyone has a file location for previous version? I know there are downgrade risks but this makes it not enjoyable to use the watch anymore.

Unless Garmin is working on fixing these issues but I don't see anything in latest beta listed.
