Training readiness inaccurate

I'm using Forerunner 955 since x-mas.

I do ultra trails, exercise and run or hike almost daily. And my app is constantly claiming extremely low levels of training readiness, often only 1 from 100 and I feel fine. I'm used to doing at least 10-20 km daily in the mountains even if I feel a bit under weather. Will the stats change, or should I just cancel this feature, because it's kind of depressing if my watch is claiming I'm not training ready every single morning and I fell almost race ready.

  • I'm using Forerunner 955

Your original post was in the Venu 2 Plus forum. I've moved it to the Forerunner 955 forum.

  • Make sure you have entered basic information about yourself, such as age, weight, HR max. You can leave the heart rate zones at default for now. Read the online user manual.

  • thx, I've done that. I'm 40 the watch gave me physical age 34 (hurray I guess) but training readiness just doesn't make any sense. I studied P.E. at uni. I know a bit about how to train proper, prophylaxis according to my body type and training load, and other. When I run 30km I don't need 72 hours of regeneration, That's just bullsh*t, What type of endurance training let's you 3 days between intervals? My question is, will it get better, or should I just cancel this feature, because it's meant only for beginners with no experience with endurance training.

  • I don't know if this feature can be turned off, I've never had such a need. But you wrote that you've been using the watch for a short time. The algorithms have to learn the user's body. Maybe you just need to give it a little more time. Additionally, it's worth wearing the watch at night, then the quality of your regeneration and the current load status are better assessed based on the variability and resting value of the heart rate. Moreover, the fact that the watch recommends regeneration more than 24 hours after a greater load does not mean that you should not do any activity, in fact, light activities in low aerobics can speed up regeneration.
