Forerunner 955 - Software Version 21.19

I read:

1) Lactate Threshold estimates are applied automatically after training with heart rate.

2) Function Threshold Power estimates are applied automatically after training with power.

I would like to know:

a) What kind of training is required to update the Lactate parameters (power, heart rate, pace). In other words, how and when the estimates parameters will be updated on Garmin Connect. At the moment, these parameters are not recorded on my Garmin Connect.

b) why is the test for Lactate unavailable on the watch now?

Thanks for your reply

Antonio

  • Same problem here on my FR955. No Lactate Threshold update since november (just before the bloody 21.19 update). I did every kind of different workout (base run, tempo run, sprint, etc, with and without my Garmin HRM chest strap) but with no success. Since update 21.19 the LT update SHOULD be shown at the end of each run (even a recovery or base run). I wrote to Garmin support (in US) in december and sent all the data/info/screenshots they requested. Last night, they finally answered that everything seems ok with my watch and that I simply have to wait for my Garmin to show a new LT. Which is ridicolous, since I've been waiting for months...

I also don't understand why they got rid of the guided LT test!!!

    Very disappointed from Garmin.

I'm not sure I'll buy a Garmin product anymore.
