No training effect after battery run out

I have seen this post from the past Training effect not calculated

I went into the same scenario few weeks ago.

After plugging watch to power source it offer to save activity.

I did that, but with surprise I have noticed that everything is saved - until that moment when it switched off, but Training effect and Exercise is zero.

Yesterday I have by purpose run into the same situation. I have carried powerbank and started charging few minutes later.

This time instead of just saving activity I have select Resume and continue run.

And this time, Training effect was calculated properly.

Next test I will carry in few days, but this time will return home and just cycle - Resume and immediately Stop + Save to check if Training effect calculation requires additional minutes of activity or just that Resume + Save routine.

This might be handy for someone in similar situation, but in first place even activity recording was interrupted by low battery calculation should be done base on saved data.

Why is not I will ask Garmin Support.

  • This happened to me just now, I ran, battery died and then I charged and finished the last .2km and it’s now showing a 13.6km run with a training load of 2? How do I fix this

  • This just happened to me, was running and battery died, I charged and it let me resume which I did to finish the last 0.2km of the run, once completed the watch now shows my training effect at 4.6 but training load at 2 and hasn’t impacted my stats at all which is a shame. How do I amend this?
