Swim Workout shows nearly every time "kick"

Hi Garmin,

my FR955 shows always that I have to do "kicks" within my swimming sessions.

Doesn't matter if I have made the session in the App or on the Web.

What can help? I haven't stated any type of exercise just swim 200m freestyle.

iOs App 5.7.3.2

  • Hi. mine too. And when in my workout I have to kick it don't move to "drills" and there is a bad count of the distance, pace...

  • We are aware of a disruption where Swim workout steps are all displayed as "Kick". If that is what you are experiencing, please answer the following.

    1. May we, if necessary, have permission view example activities in your Connect account?
    2. Are your activities created from Garmin Connect, or a third party?
    3. May we, if necessary, have permission to reach you via email?

If you are experiencing something different, please let me know if I may have permission to reach you via email to further investigate.

    Thank you!

  • 1.) Yes

2.) Created on Garmin App and/or on Garmin Website but with a linked Trainingspeak, Strava and Komoot account.

    3.) Yes

  • 1) yes you can

    2) Swim workouts always created with Garmin connect web(till some months ago it was easier...now more difficult to move some exercise from one point to another inside the workout creator)

Someone new(just created),  someone old (created some years ago, some weeks ago) , some edited

    3) yes you can

I wanted to show 3 photos but I can attach

  • WORKAROUND FOUND (in my case):

My profile was synchronised with TrainingPeaks (Garmin to TrainingPeaks and TrainingPeaks to Garmin). Although I haven’t made the trainings in TrainingPeaks it messed it up somehow.

I have dismissed the synchronisation FROM TrainingPeaks TO Garmin and made the Workouts in the App new. After that the workouts didn’t show “kick” and worked fine. The synchronisation from Garmin to TrainingPeaks is still active and my workouts are still visible in TrainingPeaks. For me, that’s all I need.

Hope that helps someone too :-)
