Resting HR (RHR) mapping nuance

I stumbled across a very confusing nuance in the mapping of RHR data whilst configuring a watch face. It doesn’t seem right and makes me wonder if it’s a bug.

[:getUserProfile, :averageRestingHeartRate]

[:getUserProfile, :restingHeartRate]

The Average Resting Heart Rate seems to show the correct value recorded by the watch, but the Resting Heart Rate doesn’t.

It looks like the Resting Heart Rate is showing the value from the ‘Set Custom’ Resting Heart Rate settings. When the ‘Use Average’ option is enabled, it displays a lagging average from the previous day. If the ‘Use Average’ option is turned off, it shows the custom RHR you manually set. However, neither of these options reflects the actual daily Resting Heart Rate recorded by the watch.

I assume this would affect the heart rate zones calculated based on RHR. Like I said, it’s very confusing..
