Is there way to Exclude an activity from intensity minutes?

Hi,

i am using the watch to track also the time in the sauna. But i don’t want to affect the intensity minutes, or at least to avoid it from being counted double (vigorous)

do you guys know a trick to do this? I was trying to set custom very high hr zones for the custom sauna activity but can’t do that apparently

  • We used to be able to disable activity tracking in the watch settings, but that feature has been removed from 955 and other devices :/.

I don’t think intensity minutes is based on user-defined hr zones anyway, I think it’s based on max hr.

You could try disabling the wrist HR when you’re in the sauna (and obviously not using an external monitor, like a chest strap or arm band). Or if you care about your HR, you could use an external monitor, not pair it with via the built-in sensors menu (or disable the connection if it is paired), but use it with a 3rd party app (which can display the external HR during the activity and also record it to the activity FIT file): https://apps.garmin.com/apps/7c83d402-4b68-4f0a-b167-7139788a19b3

Yeah I realize that’s not really a good solution. It would be nice if Garmin would bring back the Activity Tracking setting, but I don’t think that will happen.
