Why is there now a ring when looking at the map?

I just noticed when looking at the map there's a digital inner ring that's there now?  What purpose is that for?

    they also added city navigator to the maps, but it doesn't work?  it's all so strange

    It replaces the scale indicator that was at the bottom of the screen, I am not sure why they changed it, I find it clutters the map.

    If we are talking about that crescent at the top, then if you move map away from your current position it will still show at the bottom.

    For me this one is just X meter radius from your standpoint

    Thanks, that is a good fix, as soon as I move the map the ring is gone and the scale indicator is back. Only now there is a display at the bottom listing the position of whatever I touched on the map (I don't see the need for that, I always used long-press start to see more information on a map point). l BTW my watch is stuck on 21.14 so maybe it looks different on mine, but it works!

    That's why I have asked for screenshot.

    And that second part of your comment is (I guess) related to that City Navigation thing.

    And I guess again, it requires GPS fix before will be able to Calculate Route correctly. Otherwise it is just stuck in waiting loop like it was mentioned with Navigation and Moon phase City Spell search.

    Not the topic of this discussion, but route calculation times out for me, also with GPS fix. I hope Navigate to Start still works, will try today.

    BTW posting pictures did not work for me lately, don't know if that is the same for others.

    GPS Fix - I have just verified that. Without - timeout, with fixed signal takes several looong seconds to calculate but eventually I have Route.

    My sequence: Start -> Map (not Run, Walk or Navigate) -> Move map with finger -> Touch something on the screen -> Tap on the bottom part of Screen -> Confirm interested point on next screen either with Tap or Start button -> Go -> and only now select Activity -> Wait until Route is calculated (here if there is no GPS Fix it will timeout)

    I will add that comment about GPS Fix to Bug report

    Exactly! This is it. Try to move map a bit and circle should vanish and be replaced with small dash at the bottom of the screen.
