The barometer (height) has stopped working on my 955. Have sent it in for service. If they can't fix it I will send a GPS Unit, Forerunner 955, Black, EMEA, Recertified as replecement.
Is that OK or should I have a "new" one instead ?

That's what we all get when you send it in fort repair
The way I look at it: it had to pass QA twice.
Every time i got a replaced Garmin watch (it was 2x, different models) i got a new one, with a new band. The only issue, you must wait about 10 days (Germany) to get replaced.
Over the years I received quite a few replaced devices, some in sealed retail packages and these were new. Some others came in generic cardboard boxes, but appearing new and unused. The only way to tell these were recertified was by examining the eventlogs on them. These logs are no longer present on current models though. NB Garmin never leaves data from prior usage on the devices, eventlogs were just technical logs in which some history always remained.
