My FR955 has been a very reliable watch for over a year now, but the last 2 runs have been highly problematic. On my 8km Thursday run my HR seemed unusually high from the start and remained so until about km 6 when it dropped from around 138 to 122, then 106 and 85 before dropping to 0 bpm. After this it oscillated between 0 and 138, before finally re-establishing the "correct" bpm (who know if it was actually correct or not). Then today, Saturday, on my 16km long run it started out unusually high and stayed there during the entire run. The temperature was a little high, around 12 or 13 degrees C, but that's not that hot for Australia really and I was running fairly easy, so it shouldn't have been in the 140s. The firmware is 20.32, the most recent update. I have been wearing a Polar H10 for several years now, but on Thursday it failed to connect, so I changed the battery and it connected fine this morning. The Thursday glitch was all about the wrist-based hrm, whereas this morning it was the Polar H10 and the FR 955. I've read about others having other HR issues since the 20.32 update, but these are different to my issues. Has anyone else ranged between 5-10 bpm over what is expected to "flatlining" on an easy run (I absolutely deny dying on my favourite trail on Thursday.
