Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing extreme battery drain? Seems like my watch is losing battery life faster than before..I know it was an issue a year or two ago but started noticing this the last couple of months… Anyone else?

YES, 955 Solar, losing more than 10% a day with everything off (all comms and PulseOx). Before, when it was new or within the first year was half of that. After every update is getting worse. With full…
Similar situation. After the latest updates (20.26, 20.29 and 20.31) the battery discharge in normal use mode increased by about one and a half to two times. In activity mode, the battery discharge did…
I’ve tried to reboot, and it does not work… I think it’s 10%+ daily without even doing an activity and more when I do… crazy… sleeping I lose close to 6-7% (8 hours not 12 ha)…. Not much I can do I guess…
Finally, turning off "Garmin Share" helped. Now everything is OK.
Where can I turn off "Jet lag advisor"? I have not found this function anywhere.
I felt that after FW v. 20.xx was installed, my FR955 Solar started to have excessive battery drain. I tried a number of potential mitigating steps but none worked. Battery drain was in the region of 12%+ per day (on a non GPS activity day). A few days ago, my watch automatically updated to v. 20.31. After the update, I consulted this thread and read that the Jet Lag Adviser might be a cause of the excessive battery drain, so I disabled it. I also switched the watch off after fully recharging it and then switching it back on after a few minutes During the last 24 hours, battery drain has reduced to 4% per day (also without GPS activities). So it may seem that one, or a combination of FW update, disabling Jet Lag Adviser and switching off/on may have mitigated the battery drain issue. Early days yet, so fingers crossed, knock on wood, miscellaneous mumbo jumbo, etc.
On the phone app, select your device (if you have registered multiple devices), Notification & Alerts, System Alerts, Jet Lag Adviser, toggle Status to off (I toggled the various items under Status to off as well, just to be doubly sure).
Notifications & Alerts.
System Alerts.
Jet Lag Adviser.
I’m still playing around with the garminconnect app….but if I turn off Bluetooth I think the watch works normal…but then again the watch doesn’t work normal as I don’t get calls to come into watch…. So, I’m no pro with apps and what not, but have a feeling something within the app is constantly trying to connect to watch and draining the battery extremely fast….anyone at garmin looking into this?
Wow, just saw the message from garmin! I guess they have released a fix! I’m not crazy after all…haha I’m no pro with apps like I say, but do prefer chicken wings to mozzarella sticks
I didn't see the message. Can you please point me to it? Thanks.
I had already disabled everything but it still consumed double the usual amount of power at rest, it stabilized by also disabling the phone disconnected warning, in any case the 20xx version despite 3 versions after the first release is the worst ever released
despite 3 versions after the first release is the worst ever released
Of which 2 were related to the Varia gauge issues... not really other fixes integrated.
For me personally, my FR 955 was draining a bit more than usual after initial update to 20.xx, but is back to nomal since weeks.
My settings I posted above.
As someone already advised here, it helped me to turn off GarminShare.
