music stutters in run activity

Hi,

FR955

Music stutters after 10 or so minutes during a run activity.

I have tried my own mp3s and youtube music download.

I have tested on multiple headphones and wearing watch on other wrist.

Music works when not in an activity.

It's hard not to draw the conclusion that unit is under powered, i.e. can't handle music, gps and HR at same time.

Why aren't loads of people would be complaining about this on a premium watch?

    If that's related to BLE, pretty sure the headphones don't use this. It's still rare, for instance, Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen-2 supports BLE (but still prefers the higher bandwidth of BT 5.3), but the Gen-1 doesn't. I'm not sure the watch uses BLE for audio (LE Audio), never saw it mentioned.

    I tested my daughter's Soundcore R50i this morning and didn't get any stutter. I'm not sure if BT v5.3 on these makes a difference to the BT v5.4 on the V20i that I have to return. I'll have to test the R50i on another run. But I prefer the V20i open-ear rather than the P20i in-ear buds.

    Edit: I actually have no idea which BT version are on either headphones. The online specs are different in a few places and the boxes and manuals don't actually say what the specs are. There's also inconsistency with the waterproof ratings in various places. (And the R50i my daughter has are the NC version.)
