music stutters in run activity

Maybe because they can play music, have HR and GPS on and run an activity? I never have had any issues with that. I also use navigation with course maps on a few occasions. You might have an unique issue...

I did a test starting a run activity but just walking around house and garden. Music played perfectly.

This narrows it down to perhaps the physical movement of running or Bluetooth in my running environment.

I guess i could come up with a few further tests now. 

Also, after some time, music begins to stutter in the time of dispensing

The fact is that it only stutters with RECENT headphones with 5.3 BT, not with my old 5.0 BT headphone.

The music doesn't really "jump", it seems like it has very very short pause/play moments

And when it happens, also the audio prompts like laps, pace and so on stutters, even if music isn't playing anymore. 

Garmin-Sierra is it possible to open a ticket to developers?

Agreed, there have been a few posts which I've looked at but they have not helped me. There are many reasons for audio drop out which I've now educated myself on, all which makes it hard to troubleshoot. I've a few more tests to try over my next few runs. I'll report back.

I tested this morning using a single ear bud. I wear watch on left wrist so used the left ear bud. My primary ear bud must be the one that pairs first.

No drop outs :)

Next run, I'll pair the left first (hoping to make it the primary), then add the right.

To be fair I could live with one ear bud - it's not like you need hi-fi stereo when outside.

Tested with pairing left earbud first. Definitely an improvement - I got to 36mins before stutter. I then carried my right earbud in left hand and the stuttering stopped.

Hence, it looks very much like my issue with dropouts is a body blocking the signal thing!

I can't explain why the stuttering takes time to kick in - does my running arm action change or is there a buffer in the watch that overflows?

I think people with this issue can have many different issues. I also think many people run with their phone and just use that as their music source.

Looks like i will just use one earbud unless I hear of some workaround.

There is a simple workaround - pause music for coupe of seconds when stuttering occurs.

I tried pausing but it only gives me a few seconds then stuttering restarts. Maybe works for some users but not in my case unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though.
