Bug: Hours suddenly completely wrong

This a a rare and old one. Can't reproduce it but saw it happen occasionally.

Don't know what it's triggering it, but sometimes retuning to watch from settings or so, I see the hours handle like 4 hours behind... Like 15h59 instead of 19h59.

Seconds hand is approaching 60... Since it happened before I already know that when the hour come it will resume to correct time, 20 hours in this case.

Anybody noticed this ?

The other times I saw it, I thought it was some crazy thing, but now I already saw it happen a few times over various firmwares.

I'm on latest firmware

  • You can check a Watch Settings- System-Time. It should be Auto by Set Time. Use "Sync With GPS" to get an actual time.

  • It is on auto and always been on auto. Explaining better: prior to this happening the hours were ok as always. But then you notice that out of nowhere it's 4 hours less. Then when the seconds hit 0, the hours handle jump forward to the correct hour.

Don't know if this is watch face related. Don't know if this happens on digital faces.

But this is the Garmin standard handles watch face. Not a custom watch face

  • It seems to be a time zone that was shifted. It may be a wf related. I'll try to set it to manual, sync with GPS, then back to auto, and do a sync again.
