Since the beta forum is currently locked, I'm reporting this here.
Health & Wellness > Wrist HR > Source Switching cannot be changed from the Connect app. This is probably because, at some point in the past, the behavior of the corresponding setting on the device was change so it's greyed out unless you to connect a chest strap. (If you try to change the setting while it's greyed out, you're taken to the sensor menu.)
The change to the setting on the device has caused confusion (from ppl who didn't know how to change it) and complaints (from ppl who want to change it even when an external HRM isn't connected.) But the bug in the Connect app setting is even worse, since there's apparently no way to change the setting in Connect now. It seems to me there's more and more people who only change settings in Connect (and not the device), whenever possible.
I think the simplest fix here would be to revert to the previous behavior where wrist hr source switching can be changed regardless of whether an external HRM is connected. (The previous requirement was that an external HRM had been *paired* in the past. Idk if adhering to this requirement would also lead to the same bug in the app.)
