Strength training / anerobic effect wrong --> effect on DSW

Hi guys,

I have a problem and would need a workaround. I use DSW for marathon training. 2 times a week, I do a strength workout. If I use my heart strap during strength training (which I don't want), I get zero anaerobic effect. If I use just the watch, then I sometimes get quite a high amount of anaerobic effect (which is obviously wrong). This influences then my DSW for running (e.g. no anaerobic training runs).

How to prevent this? I tried to add manually my strength training, but there is then no possibility to add the aerobic effect (which of course is realistic). I don't want to wear my heart strap always during strength training (but I use it during running sessions)... do you have any idea, how to get rid of the wrong anaerobic data...?

Thanks, Mike...

  • very rare behavior, normally with the chest strap will give a more realistic data, i do strengh training every week few times, and the anaerobic load is almost 0, this is depend of the intensity of the training, if you take some minutes to rest between series, of if you only rest a few seconds and do it with intensity, in my case, i take at least 1 minute between series so for the watch its not high load, also my heart rate usually doesnt go beyond 120bpm, i another case, if i do i.e. crossfit training that its usually intense, the load is much higher in both aerobic and anaerobic, in my experience, reseting the watch to default helps, and if its going very wrong i reset and delete all data, and normally the watch start to works better
