Heart Rate Gauge dial always on zero

I have my Fr 955 for like 2 weeks. Im using HRR for estimation of my zones. During runs noticed that for some reason dial on Hearth Rate Gauge is always on very left side no matter what HR I have. After training Garmin correctly show my times in zones. Anyone had this issue and is able to help me resolve this weird issue?

  • My HR Gauge is located on bottom. Adding this because maybe it has so meaning

  • Can you post screen shot?

  • I've never had this problem, but it sounds like a bug to me.

Have you tried putting the gauge in a half-width field so you get the version of the gauge that's just a number and a color-coded heart icon, like this:

In this case, the color of the heart should change to reflect your zone. If the bug is consistent, then I would expect this form of the gauge to have the same problem.

You could also try the Heart Rate Zone field, which shows your zone in numerical form (e.g. 1.5). In your case I would expect the number to stay between 0.0 and 1.9.

  • Ok Guys - I tested this extensively today and noticed all my hr zones were messed up in settings. For some reason after migration to new device they were changed to very high levels. I usually train in 1-3 zones just for fun. During todays sprint I was able to finally move the gauge and now Im fixing my zone settings in connect and watch. Thanks for interest - false alarm - everything works.

  • Thanks for the update! It's interesting that your time in zones was displayed correctly in the Connect activity though - those stats (and your zones) are recorded to the FIT file during the activity and should reflect the same zones that were set up at the time the activity was recorded (and the zones that you saw during the activity). Were the actual zones (in the activity time in zones chart) correct, too?

I guess it doesn't matter since it's fixed now haha.

  • As a man only logical explanation for me is that I was wrong. Now I will monitor this much more closer.
