Dealing with pool swim inaccuracy

The pool swim distance on my 955 is always 100-150 yards greater than actual. This seems to be a pretty common problem with Garmin watches based on other threads.

1. Is there anything I can be doing to improve accuracy, like removing stroke detection?

2. I have to manually enter the distance in the Garmin Connect app, but the distances and times never sync to the watch. I've tried manual sync on both devices and restarting the watch. What's the best way to get the watch to start displaying the correct distances after I've updated them in the app?

I've found https://www.swimmingwatchtools.com/ a helpful tool to edit swims once in connect. You'll probably need to use the 'merge' function to correct distance. The outlier lengths are pretty easy…

I've found concentrating on not doing things unexpectedly mid length and concentrating on push off has made it more accurate for me.

Agree on the editing tool mentioned, I've used that many times…
