Forerunner 945 will not pair with New Android Phone (pixel 9 pro)

Tried all the troubleshooting, nothing works. Phone on/off, watch on/off, bluetooth on/off. Sometimes Garmin Connect can tell its a Forerunner 945, other times it can't find anything. It will occasionally tell me it has found the device, I hit "connect button and app proceeds to the "completing setup" which always delivers a "Paring failed - Set up not successful"

I have the same issue with my Pixel 9 Pro XL and my Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar. Very frustrating...

Have you tried to remove the old phone from the watch?

Also, ensure that the old phone isn't within the watch's range or remove it from the list of known devices.

I had the same issue, and doing the steps above solved it.

Or temporarily turn off bluetooth on the old phone

This worked for me. I had to completely reset my Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar and then I could connect it with my Pixel 9 Pro XL.

I have no issues with my Pixel 9 Pro XL + Garmin 955 Solar. But when I connected for the first time I needed to turn off the Bluetooth of my old smartphone so it could be linked.
