Data page: Overwiew interval data. How to get it?

Hello,

Yesterday I created an interval sesion directly from my watch, I was pleasently surprised when I saw that a new data screen appear with an overview of some relevant metrics for each interval: time and distance, here is picture from today test at home.

Do anybody know how to include this as an aditional data page?

Testing with DSW, this data page does not appear, and as far as I know if the interval session were to be created from the phone or computer I would get the same result.

Thanks for the help,

ME

  • Yeah unfortunately Garmin chose to only show this screen in a limited number of situations, like when you do an interval workout directly from your watch (as you said), and for the Track Run activity.

There's actually a 3rd-party CIQ data field app (not mine) that can add similar functionality to any activity:

I do have a couple of apps with this feature, but I haven't updated them for FR955.

  • Thanks for the link.

Looking around, I found this other 3rd-party CIQ  data field that can let you customize the data to be shown.

    This one is a keeper!

  • Nice! I actually saw that one years ago when I was first making my own "lap history" field but I kinda forgot about it (or maybe I assumed it hadn't been updated, but it's good to see that it has.)

FYI, mine is a little different as it allows you to "scroll" through the lap pages (so you can see more laps than will fit on a single page), but the UX is clunky due to Garmin limitations. (You have to press DOWN, UP or UP, DOWN quickly to switch pages.) My data field also allows a lot more metrics than any of the others (due to the way metrics are formed by combining certain modifiers with a noun, like "Last Lap Max HR"). In this way, it even supports few metrics that aren't available natively (like "Lap Min HR")

This it, but unfortunately I haven't had time to update it for recent devices: Lap Viewer

I also have a similar app which combines the lap viewer page with a 6-field data page, so you don't "waste" a whole page / CIQ slot just for your lap viewer: Lap+ (also not available for newer devices)

Lap+ is probably a lot less relevant for newer / high-end devices which have 10 custom pages of up to 8 fields each, unless you care about one of the more estoric metrics it can provide (similar to Lap Viewer.) (When I made it, I was using a device that only allowed up to 4 fields per page.)

If you feel like you might be interested in either of the apps, let me know. I'm considering updating them for new devices sometime in the near future.
