But I fail to understand why one would need a map in climbing activity. Having climbed myself inside and sometimes outside on the rocks, I do see no benefit in that.
The climbing route itself is vertical, GPS and map will not help in finding the route - that is why there are special collections of climbing walls with drawings of the routes.
If you are referring to the walk you will have to make to reach the wall - why not simply track it separately as walking?
