Voice prompts for Turns during Course Navigation - Turn off

There is a bug with latest firmware in that voice prompts for navigation from phone/earbuds cannot be disabled without also disabling navigation vibrate/beep alerts on the watch.

The position from Garmin seems to be that this is a feature, not a bug so might not be fixed. The only way it will be fixed is if enough people complain about it so if it's something that irritates you please add a comment to the following thread:

Agree, very disappointed with that. The only way I've found is to turn of the navigation prompts and just check the map...:-(

I've also complained to Support (in a long email exchange) about this exact problem. Very annoying, makes navigation prompts useless when I'm trail running and don't want to disturb the quiet, and I don't want to put earbuds in while running outdoors either. :(

Still having the same problem, so frustrating and irritating. Considering the forums are full of people complaining about this I can't believe Garmin still haven't bothered to sort this out

Very strange, but I have an opposite problem, but reading the comments maybe I can feel lucky. I only have vibration before navigation events but I cannot make any voice prompt alive. No matter what I did it only gives me vibration but no prompt at all. I tried lot of things without luck, or maybe with luck, so I now stop trials.

Garmin-Sierra there are so many users complaining about this, so by now you must have a long list of annoyed customers. Why do you need more?

How do people react at garmin when you present this list so far? Are they really saying not enough people are annoyed yet to turn back this change?

Or didn’t you do anything with the list yet?
