Autolap is great for open training and races, but it's annoying when you have a training planned with a lot of intervals configured.
Should be nice to have an option while planning the training to turn off autolap, overwriting the system settings.

Yeah this is the best way to do it.
As a runner, I personally I have:
- Run (which I use for steady state runs, recovery runs, and long runs). This has auto-lap enabled
- Run Workout (which I use for intervals…
Set up a different profile with no autolap enabled as an option.
I have multiple run activity profiles with slightly different settings for various thing. I then select the one I want for that runs purpose…

I have multiple run activity profiles with slightly different settings for various thing. I then select the one I want for that runs purpose. as an example I have :
1. Segments enabled. (named Run Segment)
2. Segments disabled (named Run Quiet)

As a runner, I personally I have:
- Run (which I use for steady state runs, recovery runs, and long runs). This has auto-lap enabled
- Run Workout (which I use for intervals). This has auto-lap disabled, and a different set of data pages than Run
- Race. This has auto-lap enabled, and yet another set of data pages
I think the best way to do this is to set up Run exactly the way you want it, then make copies of Run and modify them to your liking.
Wow, brilliant
doing that! I didn't know that should be possible.
thank you guys
